British Open 2017 - BBI Prediction

I have used the Brass Band Index rating system (see introduction) to make predictions for the upcoming British Open contest on 09/09/2017.
The initial take away here is that it is incredibly close. The rating gap from 5th to 17th is about the same as from 1st to 3rd. This means that whilst the system is fairly confident on a few positions the mid-table outcome could vary wildly.
Jaguar Land Rover came in 19th last year and will need an outstanding performance to avoid demotion this year.
Fodens came in 17th last year so are at risk of demotion this time round, but their BBI of 2322 suggests they should easily be able to avoid this with a 65% chance of a top-10 placing.
